United's Park faces long injury lay-off
Jul 16, 2007, 14:08 GMT
Manchester, England - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed on Monday that midfielder Ji-sung Park will likely be out of the United lineup until December or January.
United touched down in Japan to kick off its Asian tour, but the South Korea international will take no part in the action.
'He will not be available until December or January,' Ferguson said at a news conference. 'It is very disappointing news but hopefully we have the squad to cover injuries this year.'
Park last took part in a match for United in March, but was sidelined with a knee injury. It was later discovered that the injury was worse than initially thought, and Park underwent surgery on the knee in April.
