West Ham complete signing of Liverpool striker Bellamy

London - West Ham United have broken their transfer record by signing Wales striker Craig Bellamy from Liverpool for 7.5 million pounds (15 million dollars).
The 27-year-old signed a five-year contract with the London club, who narrowly avoided relegation from the English Premiership last season.
Bellamy scored nine goals in 42 games for Liverpool, helping them to the Champions League final.
But he fell out of favour with manager Rafael Benitez towards the end of the season and was considered surplus to requirements after the summer signings of Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin.
