Italy stay top of FIFA rankings, France improve to second

Zurich - Italy retain top spot in the FIFA world football rankings almost a year after winning the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
Meanwhile beaten World Cup finalists France move up two places to second, jumping ahead of Brazil who slip to third, the rankings released Wednesday by football's world governing body show.
Argentina drop two places to fifth, while Germany are up one place to fourth, their highest position in more than four years.
Among the big movers in the leading 30, the United States have leapt 13 places to 16th, thanks to a successful start to their Gold Cup campaign, and Bosnia-Herzegovina are up 20 to 28th.
The leading 10: 1 Italy 1,653 points, 2 France 1,585, 3 Brazil 1,484, 4 Germany 1,467, 5 Argentina 1,373, 6 Portugal 1,323, 7 Spain 1,273, 8 England 1,240, 9 Netherlands 1,220, 10 Czech Republic 1,096.
