Beckham returns to practice
Apr 3, 2007, 17:16 GMT
Madrid, Spain - Real Madrid superstar David Beckham returned to practice on Tuesday for the first time since suffering ligament damage in his right knee in early March.
The midfielder, who was injured in a match versus Getafe, was greeted back to the field Tuesday morning with a great ovation from his teammates. Since the setback, Beckham was rehabbing in the gym, and was not originally expected to re-join his team this quickly.
Real will play Osasuna this weekend, but Beckham's status for the match is still uncertain. The club is still alive for the La Liga title, just five points behind leader Barcelona.
Beckham only has 10 games left with Real. The former England captain is set to join the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer in the summer.
