Kiev, Ukraine - Trouble broke out Tuesday night in Kiev's Independence Square previous to Wednesday's EURO 2008 qualifier when a group of Scottish fans were allegedly attacked by up to 300 local youths.
It was reported that around 300 Scots were enjoying themselves in the square when they were targeted by a similar number of 'local hooligans.'
There was no reported retaliation by Scottish fans before 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
The British Embassy in Kiev reported that the injured supporters were given first aid at the scene before going their separate ways.
Scotland plays Ukraine today at 1 p.m. Eastern Time for a Group B qualifier where approximately 3,000 Scottish fans are in attendance.
