Aug 10, 2006, 11:59 GMT
Rome - Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Inter Milan from Juventus for a reported 24.8 million Euros, Italian media reported on Thursday.
The 24-year-old is said to have signed a four-year contract with Inter following Juventus' demotion into Serie B after the club was found guilty of match rigging.
Six players have already left Juventus since their appeal against the sentence was turned down. Fabio Cannavaro, Patrick Vieira, Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Zambrotta and Emerson had earlier joined other clubs.
Ibrahimovic, who has scored 18 goals in 41 games for Sweden, joined Juventus for 19 million Euros from Ajax Amsterdam in 2004.
Juventus shares fell by 1.4 per cent on the Milan stock exchange after the transfer was announced. They are currently trading at 1.92 Euros.
For Inter Milan the signing is the fourth international who has joined the club during the off-season. Earlier Italian World Cup winner Fabio Grosso joined from Palermo, French captain Vieira joined from Juventus, while Hernan Crespo came on loan from Chelsea.
