Celtics' Rondo replaces injured Hawks' Johnson in all-star game
Feb 23, 2012, 1:39 GMT
Los Angeles - Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo was named Wednesday by league commissioner David Stern to replace injured Joe Johnson on the Eastern Conference squad for Sunday's NBA All-Star Game.
Rondo became an all-star for the third time in his career after the Atlanta Hawks guard was forced to bow out with left knee tendinitis for this year's mid-season exhibition, being played at Orlando's Amway Centre.
Johnson was replaced in Saturday's three-point contest by Western Conference all-star Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
