Feb 22, 2012, 20:07 GMT
Los Angeles - Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans will replace injured New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert in Saturday's Slam Dunk contest as part of NBA All-Star Weekend, the league announced.
Shumpert pulled out from the competition because of left knee patella tendinitis.
Evans will compete for the title at Orlando's Amway Center against Houston's Chase Budinger, Indiana's Paul George and Minnesota's Derrick Williams.
Last year's winner, Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers, decided not to defend his crown.
