Bardal trailed by just a tenth of a point in second with 252.5 and Kamil Stoch of Poland was third with 247.2 points.
World Cup leader Andreas Kofler was the best Austrian in ninth place for now 934 points. Bardal has 889 points as he moved past Four Hills champion Gregor Schlierenzauer, who remained on 867 points after not making the trip to Japan.
