Howard has 21 points and 23 rebounds as Magic manhandle Lakers

Los Angeles - Dwight Howard powered for 21 points with 23 rebounds, and the Orlando Magic built an early 23-point cushion en route to beating the LA Lakers 92-80 Friday night for its sixth win in seven games.

Kobe Bryant scored 30 points while Spaniard Pau Gasol added 13 with 10 boards for the Lakers, who dropped to 1-6 on the road this season.

Kevin Love scored 17 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and nailed the buzzer-beating straight-away three-pointer after Spanish rookie guard Ricky Rubio hit the game-tying triple with 20 seconds left, as the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the LA Clippers, 101-98.

Tyreke Evans nailed the go-ahead jumper with 47 seconds left to cap a 23-point, 11-rebound, seven-assist effort, and the Sacramento Kings sent the San Antonio Spurs to their first home loss of the season (9-1), 88-86.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 33 points with a career-best 23 rebounds, and the visiting Portland Trail Blazers sent the Toronto Raptors to their seventh straight loss, 94-84.

Al Harrington scored a season-high 29 points, including a huge triple with just over a minute left, and the visiting Denver Nuggets won their third in a row, edging the Washington Wizards, 108-104.

John Wall finished with 13 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds as Washington fell to a league-worst 2-13 record on the season.

Elsewhere: the visiting Chicago Bulls without league most valuable player Derrick Rose (sore big toe) crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers, 114-75; the Philadelphia 76ers stormed past the visiting Atlanta Hawks, 90-76; the visiting Memphis Grizzlies pounded the Detroit Pistons, 98-81.

Also, the visiting Milwaukee Bucks bounced the New York Knicks, 100-86; the visiting Phoenix Suns shaded the Boston Celtics, 79-71; and the visiting Indiana Pacers edged the Golden State Warriors, 94-91.
