Freestyle skier Sarah Burke dies of injuries

Washington - Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke has died of injuries sustained in a training accident last week, her family announced Thursday.
She had landed on her head while training on January 10 in Utah. Her accident ruptured an artery to her brain, leading to cardiac arrest and irreversible brain damage. She had undergone an operation in Salt Lake City.
The 29-year-old was the 2005 half-pipe world champion and had been favoured ahead of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
