Jan 2, 2012, 9:49 GMT
Berlin - Nordic combined World Cup skiing events scheduled for January 28 and 29 in Zakopane have been cancelled by the ruling body FIS because the Polish hosts are unable to complete renovation of the venue in time.
The FIS said that no cross-country slopes are available after delays in the modernisation of the facility. World Cup director Frank Wehling said that FIS is in talks with other venues about moving the two events.
