Germany eyes another Olympic bid

Weimar, Germany - Germany would like to make another bid to host an Olympics despite Munich's defeat in its efforts to host the 2018 winter Games, a leading politician has said.
'An Olympic Games in Germany is something we are striving for, and not in the next century but in the foreseeable future,' Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich told a sports minister conference in Weimar.
Munich failed in its bid to host the 2018 winter Games which the International Olympic Committee in July awarded to Pyeongchang, South Korea.
