Devils re-sign D Martin

Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Devils re-signed defenseman Paul Martin to a multi-year contract on Thursday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.The 26-year-old Martin recorded three goals and 23 assists in all 82 games for New Jersey last season. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound blueliner added four assists in 11 playoff games.In three seasons with the Devils, Martin has posted 14 goals and 73 assists in 232 career games.© 2007 The Sports Network
