Blackhawks acquire Adams from Coyotes

Chicago, IL - The Chicago Blackhawks acquired center Kevyn Adams from the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday in exchange for forward Radim Vrbata.The 32-year-old Adams spent last season with Carolina and Phoenix and totaled three goals and nine assists in 68 games.'In Kevyn Adams we're getting a veteran player who is extremely versatile, is a good skater and is a very good face-off man,' said Chicago general manager Dale Tallon. 'Kevyn has won a Stanley Cup and is a proven leader.'In 513 career games, Adams has 59 goals and 75 helpers to go along with 304 penalty minutes.Vrbata had 14 goals and 27 assists in 77 games last year for the Blackhawks.
