Arlington, VA - The Washington Capitals re-signed defenseman Milan Jurcina to a two-year contract Friday. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jurcina just finished his second season in the NHL, playing 40 games with Boston before being acquired by the Capitals on February 1, in exchange for a conditional draft pick.
The 24-year-old recorded four goals and eight assists, along with 44 penalty minutes, in 70 games in 2006-07. He also skated with the Bruins in 2005-06 and had six goals and five assists in 51 games.
