Sens re-sign Nycholat
Jul 13, 2007, 18:25 GMT
Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Senators have re-signed defenseman Lawrence Nycholat to a multi-year contract.
Nycholat was obtained from Washington this past February 27 in a deal that sent defenseman Andy Hedlund and a sixth-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to the Capitals.
The 28-year-old Calgary native began the 2006-07 season with Washington's AHL affiliate in Hershey and earned an All-Star berth, but was unable to play after being recalled to the parent club in December.
Nycholat registered two goals and six assists for eight points in 19 games (1 with Ottawa and 18 with Washington) last season. He had 28 points in 29 games for Hershey.
