Report: Hasek agrees to deal with Detroit

Detroit, MI - The Detroit Red Wings have reportedly agreed to terms with netminder Dominik Hasek on a one-year contract.According to the Detroit Free Press, the 42-year-old Hasek will receive a base salary around $2 million, with incentive bonuses that could double that figure.The deal is expected to be finalized on Friday.Hasek, a six-time Vezina Trophy winner and two-time MVP, helped Detroit capture the Stanley Cup in 2002. He returned to the Red Wings last season after a one-year stint in Ottawa, and posted a 38-11 record with a 2.05 goals- against average.© 2007 The Sports Network
