Columbus, OH - The Columbus Blue Jackets signed defenseman Jan Hejda to a two-year contract Thursday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 29-year-old Hejda played in 29 games last season for the Edmonton Oilers and scored one goal to go along with eight assists.
Hejda was originally selected 106th overall in 2003 NHL Draft. He then spent three years playing in the Russian Elite League.
