Sep 11, 2007, 21:54 GMT
New York, NY - The New York Giants placed defensive lineman William Joseph on injured reserve Tuesday with a back injury.
Joseph, the Giants' 2003 first-round draft pick, played in all 16 games (three starts) for New York last season, recording 21 tackles and two sacks.
The move opens up a roster spot for defensive tackle Russell Davis, who signed with the team on Monday.
