Sep 10, 2007, 22:05 GMT
East Rutherford, NJ - New York Giants starting quarterback Eli Manning suffered a contusion to the AC joint in his right shoulder and his status for this Sunday's game against Green Bay is uncertain.
The Giants disclosed the MRI results on Manning late Monday afternoon, saying his status is day-to-day. Manning threw for 312 yards with four touchdowns and an interception on 28-of-41 attempts before leaving in the fourth quarter of New York's 45-35 loss to Dallas on Sunday night.
The club also announced the injuries to starting running back Brandon Jacobs and starting defensive end Osi Umenyiora on Monday.
Jacobs suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee. He will be evaluated later in the week. Reports earlier in the day speculated he could miss three-to-five weeks of action.
Umenyiora has an irritated lateral meniscus in his left knee. He is also day- to-day and will be evaluated later in the week.
New York hosts the Packers on Sunday.
In other team news, the Giants signed defensive end Russell Davis on Monday. New York has until Tuesday afternoon to make a corresponding roster move.
