Cowboys' Ferguson out for season with torn biceps
Sep 10, 2007, 19:51 GMT
Irving, TX - Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Ferguson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn biceps injury.
Ferguson suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 45-35 win over the New York Giants at Texas Stadium. He will have surgery Friday to repair the biceps muscle that has separated from the tendon at the elbow.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Ferguson has not missed a game since sitting out the entire 2001 season after rotator cuff surgery. In 2006 he led all Dallas defensive lineman with 64 tackles.
Jay Ratliff, who had three tackles and the Cowboys' only sack after taking over for Ferguson, will move to nose tackle and get his first NFL start Sunday when Dallas travels to Miami.
