Sep 3, 2007, 18:38 GMT
Cleveland, OH - Cleveland Browns quarterback Charlie Frye was chosen as the starter for Sunday's season opener at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Frye becomes the first Browns QB to start consecutive opening days since Kelly Holcomb in 2002-03. In 13 games last season, Frye completed 252-of-392 passes for 2,454 yards with 10 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
Frye came into training camp competing with Derek Anderson for the starting job. First-round draft pick Brady Quinn or Anderson will back up Frye.
