Raiders deal Moss to New England
Apr 29, 2007, 15:40 GMT
New York, NY - The Oakland Raiders have reportedly traded enigmatic wide receiver Randy Moss to the New England Patriots in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick.
Both NFL.com and ESPN have reported the deal, which will likely become official once Moss passes a physical.
Moss was the second-leading receiver for the Raiders last season with 42 catches for only 553 yards with three touchdowns. It was the worst statistical season of his career. He spent just two years with the Raiders after playing his first seven seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Oakland apparently deemed Moss expendable after acquiring receiver Mike Williams from the Detroit Lions in a trade on Saturday.
In nine NFL seasons, Moss has 676 receptions for 10,700 yards with 101 touchdowns.
