RB Turner signs one-year tender with Chargers
Apr 27, 2007, 0:00 GMT
San Diego, CA - Running back Michael Turner signed the one-year tender of $2.35 million that San Diego placed on him when he became a restricted free agent in the offseason.
Serving primarily as a backup to league MVP LaDainian Tomlinson last season, Turner rushed for 502 yards and two touchdowns. Turner also served as San Diego's kick returner, averaging 26.5 yards per return.
Although Turner is officially under contract with the Chargers for the 2007 season, it appears likely that the third-year pro will be dealt to another team in a trade as the NFL Draft approaches.
