Falcons add Redman
Mar 23, 2007, 22:25 GMT
Atlanta, GA - Just one day after trading quarterback Matt Schaub to the Houston Texans, the Atlanta Falcons signed veteran quarterback Chris Redman on Friday.
The 6-foot-2, 223-pound Redman was a third-round draft pick by Baltimore in 2000 and played four seasons with the Ravens. Redman played in 10 games (six starts). He completed 106-of-198 passes for 1,111 yards with seven touchdowns and five interceptions.
After the 2004 season he became an unrestricted free agent but was unable to latch on to another club.
The Falcons traded Schaub for Houston's second-round picks in the next two drafts while also moving up two spots, to No. 8, in the first round of this year's draft.
