Bears' Benson hurts knee

Miami, FL - Chicago Bears running back Cedric Benson hurt his left knee during the first quarter of Super Bowl XLI against the Indianapolis Colts and didn't return.
The Bears lost the game, 29-17.
Benson was injured during a four-yard carry with under two minutes left in the period. He fumbled the ball away on Chicago's previous possession.
Benson walked off the field under his own power.
During the regular season, Benson had 157 carries for 647 yards with six touchdowns, tying Thomas Jones for the team lead.
