Shreveport, LA - Drew Bledsoe threw for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 12-of-16 passing to guide the Dallas Cowboys past the New Orleans Saints, 30-7, at Independence Stadium. Terry Glenn hauled in four passes for 71 yards and a score while backup signal-caller Tony Romo went 6-of-8 for 138 yards and a TD. Terrell Owens did not participate in the game. The controversial wide receiver missed 14 straight practices with a hamstring injury before returning to the field on August 16, and head coach Bill Parcells felt that he needed more preparation time before playing in a game. Drew Brees threw for 67 yards on 7-of-12 passing in the loss, while No. 2 overall pick Reggie Bush was limited to 21 total yards.
