Sixers sign free agent Booth

Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia 76ers signed free agent center Calvin Booth on Wednesday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.Booth, entering his ninth season, has averaged 3.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.03 blocks per contest in 327 games played with Washington, Dallas, Seattle and Milwaukee.Booth spent last year with the Wizards, playing in 44 games and averaging just 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest.Washington originally selected Booth with the 35th overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.© 2007 The Sports Network
