NBA suspends Posey

New York, NY - Boston Celtics forward James Posey was suspended Friday for one game by the league for pleading nolo contendre to reckless driving, in violation of the law of the State of Florida.The 30-year-old Posey will serve his suspension when the Celtics open the 2007-08 campaign versus the Washington Wizards on November 2.Boston signed Posey, who spent the previous two seasons with the Miami Heat and averaged 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in 71 games last season, to a two- year contract on August 27.© 2007 The Sports Network
