Spurs sign Ime Udoka

San Antonio, TX - The San Antonio Spurs signed swingman Ime Udoka on Thursday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.After playing in just 12 combined games over his first two years in the NBA with the Lakers and Knicks, Udoka started in all 75 games in which he appeared in for the Portland Trail Blazers last season. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder averaged 8.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists.A long shot to make Portland's roster prior to the 2006-07 season, Udoka got an invitation to the Trail Blazers' training camp after Aaron Miles failed a physical. Even after losing his father at the start of the preseason schedule, Udoka managed to not only make Portland's roster, but start the entire season.© 2007 The Sports Network
