Foot injury to force Bosh from Team USA

Las Vegas, NV - Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh will miss the USA Basketball team's current training camp and the FIBA Americas Championship with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.'It's disappointing because Chris did a great job for us last year and he's only gotten better - he's an all-star,' said USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski. 'But the health of a player is the most important thing.'Bosh averaged 22.6 points and 10.7 rebounds in 69 games for the Atlantic Division champion Raptors last season.'This is real tough for me but I have to be safe, that's what the doctors told me,' Bosh said. 'They said it could evolve into something worse than what it is now. It's real tough and disappointing right now and I have to stay calm.'© 2007 The Sports Network
