Celtics request waivers on Ray

Boston, MA - The Boston Celtics announced Saturday they have requested waivers on guard Allan Ray.
Ray, signed out of Villanova as an undrafted free agent on July 6, 2006, averaged 6.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game during his rookie season.
Tied for fourth in three-point field goal percentage by a rookie at .414, he notched his career high of 22 points twice last season, against Indiana on April 7 and Atlanta on January 15.
