Miami, FL - The Miami Heat signed general manager Randy Pfund to an undisclosed contract extension on Friday.Miami posted a 44-38 mark last season, winning the Southeast Division title before losing to the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs.Pfund has been with the Heat for 12 seasons. He is considered to have a keen eye for talent and has worked closely with president and head coach Pat Riley in bringing players like Shaquille O'Neal to South Beach.© 2007 The Sports Network
