Jul 14, 2007, 16:30 GMT
Washington, DC - The Washington Wizards have reportedly agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent guard DeShawn Stevenson on a four-year deal, worth $15 million.
The Washington Post, citing Stevenson's agent Mark Bartelstein, reported the signing Saturday. The Washington Times, citing multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, said that the Wizards used a part of the mid-level exception to complete the deal.
The 26-year-old Stevenson, who signed a one-year contract worth less than $1 million last year with Washington, averaged 11.2 points, 2.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 82 games last season.
Stevenson, who was drafted by the Utah Jazz out of Washington Union High School in California in 2000, is averaging 8.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in seven seasons with the Jazz, Orlando Magic and Wizards.
