Heats' Kapono to leave for Raptors

Toronto, ON - Former Miami Heat sharp-shooter Jason Kapono has reportedly agreed in principle to a four-year contract with the Toronto Raptors.
According to a report in the Toronto Sun, Kapono will sign a contract with Toronto that will more than double the $1.2 million he made last year.
Kapono averaged a career-high 10.9 points per game and shot 51.4 percent from beyond the arc to lead the league. Originally drafted by Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 draft, Kapono owns a career average of 7.4 points per game.
Free agents are unable to formally sign contracts before July 11.
