Clippers exercise option on Ross; waive Ewing

Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles Clippers exercised their fourth year contract option on guard Quinton Ross and waived guard Daniel Ewing.
Ross played in a team-high 81 games for the Clippers last year, averaging 5.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 21 minutes. In four NBA seasons, Ross has tallied 5.0 points and 2.5 rebounds.
Ewing, the 32nd overall pick by the Clippers in the 2005 NBA Draft, averaged 3.4 points and 1.4 assists in two seasons with LA.
The Clippers also declined to exercise the third-year contract option on forward James Singleton on Friday. Furthermore, LA declined to tender Singleton a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent as of July 1st.
Singleton, signed as a free agent by the Clippers prior to the 2005-06 season, averaged 2.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in two seasons.
