New York, NY - The Philadelphia 76ers acquired the draft rights to Providence forward Herbert Hill and future draft considerations from the Utah Jazz in exchange for the draft rights to Ukrainian center Kyrylo Fesenko.
The Sixers had taken the seven foot Fesenko with their second round pick (38th overall), while the Jazz took Hill with their second round selection (55th overall).
Hill averaged 19.9 points and 9.8 rebounds in his senior season for the Friars.
'I just loved his athletic ability, rebounding, and toughness,' said Sixers president Billy King. 'I think he can really shoot the ball. As we went through it and watched tape and brought guys in, we felt he was the best fit.'
Fesenko averaged 6.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots in 18.5 minutes in the Ukrainian SuperLeague.
