Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Bucks have extended the contracts of both center Andrew Bogut and forward Charlie Villanueva on Thursday.
The moves were completed by picking up the fourth-year options on both players' rookie contracts, and means that both will be signed with the Bucks through the 2008-2009 season.
Bogut, the first-overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, averaged 12.3 points, a team-high 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 66 games for Milwaukee in 2006-2007. Villanueva played in just 39 games, and had his season cut short by shoulder surgery. He averaged 11.8 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting a career-best 47 percent from the field.
Bucks general manager Larry Harris also announced that the team has made qualifying offers to restricted free agent guard/forward Charlie Bell and forward Ersan Ilyasova.
