Alonso fined 2,000 dollars

Barcelona - Spaniard Fernando Alonso was on Friday fined 2,000 US dollars after being caught speeding in the pit lane during the first free practise session for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix.

The defending world champion and current leader drove only two laps during the session and registered no time.
