From Monsters and Critics.com Motorsport Zouerat, Mauritania - Giniel de Villiers took the overall lead in the Dakar Rally following Thursday's sixth stage over 444 kilometres from Tantan to Zouerat. The South African finished third on the day behind stage winner Thierry Magnaldi, who won in 3 hours 22 minutes and 54 seconds, and another Frenchman Jean-Louis Schlesser.
