Intel are named sponsors of BMW-Sauber F1 team

Munich, Germany - Computer industry giants Intel will sponsor the BMW-Sauber Formula One team from the 2006 season on, it was announced on Thursday.

No financial details were given in a joint press release, but the statement said that the F1 cooperation was part of a strategic partnership and joint marketing activities of both companies.

BMW and Intel are already working together in such areas as infotainment in BMW cars.
