Peterhansel increases lead in Dakar Rally

Kayes, Mali - Mitsubishi driver Stephane Peterhansel increased his lead over teammate Luc Alphand after finishing third in Tuesday's 333-kilometre long 10th stage of the Dakar Rally from Kiffa to Kayes, which was won by Carlos Sainz in a Volkswagen Touareg.
Defending champion Peterhansel now has a lead of 40 minutes 4 seconds over fellow Frenchman Luc Alphand, who finished 12th on the day, with Giniel De Villiers of South Africa third in a Volkswagen, 1:03.17 hours behind the leader.
