Sep 13, 2007, 5:40 GMT
Toronto, ON - Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Troy Glaus will miss the remainder of the season and will undergo surgery on his left foot early next week.
Glaus, who has suffered from plantar fasciitis since the beginning of the season, hit .262 with 20 home runs and 62 runs batted in this season.
The veteran slugger is also embroiled in the Signature Pharmacy performance- enhancing drug scandal. Glaus reportedly received multiple shipments of both nandrolone and testosterone, substances banned by Major League Baseball, between September 2003 and May 2004 when he was with the Anaheim Angels.
