Boston's Ramirez leaves game
Aug 29, 2007, 1:48 GMT
Bronx, NY - Boston Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez left Tuesday's 5-3 Yankees win over the Sox at Yankee Stadium prior to the bottom of the seventh inning.
Ramirez, who was 2-for-3 with a solo home run, appeared to be limping while running out a base hit in the top of the sixth. He was removed from the game as a precautionary measure before the Yankees' at-bat in the seventh with muscle spasms in his lower back.
Bobby Kielty replaced Ramirez in left, but he also departed the contest with lower back soreness after the Yankees half of the frame.
Eric Hinske took Kielty's turn at-bat in the eighth and struck out. Hinske finished the game in left field without incident.
