Jul 18, 2006, 3:40 GMT
Bronx, NY - New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was lifted from Monday's 4-2 win over Seattle after fouling a ball off the big toe of his left foot.
The injury took place in the fifth inning after Jason Giambi hit an upper-deck homer to right. Rodriguez, who was replaced at third base by Nick Green in the eighth, will have X-rays on Tuesday and is listed as day-to-day.
Rodriguez went 0-for-4 and committed three errors in a game for the first time in his career. He's hitting .284 with 20 homers and 68 RBI this season.
