From Monsters and Critics.com Men's College Basketball Pittsburgh, PA - Duquesne men's basketball coach Ron Everhart has suspended junior forward Stuard Baldonado from the team after a reported drug arrest. Baldonado was also suspended from school for violating the university's code of student rights, responsibilities and conduct, but the nature of the infraction was not disclosed. However, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Baldonado was arrested this past Friday and charged with criminal conspiracy involving the manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance. The paper cited a police report as saying Baldonado acted as a lookout during a drug transaction. 'Our basketball players are held to the same standard of accountability as the general student population,' said Everhart. 'We fully expect them to adhere to university policies and procedures at all times.' Baldonado was one of five Duquesne players who were shot last September. He did not play last season. © 2007 The Sports Network
