Spartanburg, SC - Wofford point guard Drew Gibson announced Wednesday he will return to school for his senior season, choosing to withdraw his name from this month's NBA draft.
Gibson averaged 12.8 points per game as a junior and led the Terriers with 136 assists. He ranked third in the Southern Conference with 5.4 assists per game. He was also second in the conference with 56 steals.
'This experience gave Drew a true sense of what he needs to develop over the summer and going into next season,' Wofford head coach Mike Young said. 'We are delighted to have Drew back as we assumed we would when we discussed this back in March.'
All early-entry players have until next Monday to withdraw their name from the draft, which takes place June 28.
