New Orleans' McCalebb declares for draft
Apr 27, 2007, 22:25 GMT
New Orleans, LA - University of New Orleans junior guard Bo McCalebb announced Friday he has declared for the NBA Draft, but will not hire an agent.
McCalebb, the 2006-07 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, has until June 18 to withdraw from the draft and return to school for his senior season.
McCalebb ranked sixth in the nation in scoring after averaging 25.0 points per game last season for the Privateers.
'We are very supportive of Bo's decision,' said UNO head coach Buzz Williams. 'I don't know of any Division I basketball player who doesn't dream of playing at the highest level. He will get a chance to see where he stands among the best in the game.'
The 2007 NBA Draft will be held on June 28 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
