George Washington junior Rice declares for NBA Draft

Washington, DC - George Washington junior Maureece Rice has entered his name as an early-entry candidate in the 2007 NBA Draft but plans to keep his NCAA eligibility open.Rice started in all 32 games for the Colonials this past season, averaging 15.8 ppg as George Washington won the Atlantic 10 Tournament and appeared in the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year.Underclassmen have until Sunday, April 29 to declare for the draft, but can withdraw their names up until Monday, June 18. Rice, a Philadelphia native, has not hired an agent.© 2007 The Sports Network
